Travelling or living in Lappland seems to be hindered at least partly by there not being so much nature, and on the other hand the people going there not liking the place so very much. So it is more difficult to plants and animals too if humans are kind of out of tune with such an environment, feeling that they need something else. One essential thing as far morth as Finland is to think of the whole year's local weathers instead of just the weathers of the nearest weeks, since there is some style, some way of living the whole year, and if one likes it's charm, it makes the clinate easier to learn, kind of more natural. Then also the animals and plants may flourish better - like is the impression of Russian Murmansk and of Korvatunturi.
The question then is, was it so in the old times in all of Lappland? Maybe it was, since some mentiobs of Lappland and love, seem to refer to it so, kind of loving the beauty of nature there, and it carrying well since one is so much along it's main currents, kind of tears in lne's eyes of the beauty and fragile wisdom of it, of the strenght that it's wisdom brings. And if one is along the routes of one's heart there and the wisdom shared cultural wisdom, then it propably is eadier to live in such weathers etc, but it is more local life then, not so uniform in style when sensitively looked and comoared with more distant places. So if that is the wush, maybe it is possible for those who enjoy such beauty, but I guess in the present day world, it is so maybe kn Kainuu, if even there - has Estonia such a style, is southern Sweden talked of so by those who like just those places, weathers, culture, nature, etc.

16th of November 2024 My impression that people living on tundra often take as a part of the way of lufe that the ground may be black or dark, without plants, turned to soil under the wheels of vehicles or under boots. While in Lappland some part of the charm and of weather skills comes from valuing the beauty of each undergrowth plant and leaving them untouched, kind of valuing just such an approach, nature pfotection oriented view plus maybe outdoors recreation and scientific civiliced point of view.
So in Finland places lived in or sometimes visited often have roads, especially if the are teens or younger generation which likes it's own lufe, it is good if there is a road to comfortable drive along to visit friends, shop, hobbies, whatever happenings there are, without needing to spoil the nature around.

If somewhere the ground is just soil with nothing growing there. Could one to some nice but not so often travelled/walked in places pich themes from liked art that fits the place, like some poems with the local charm or some famous painting that locals tend to like or maybe some part of old times way of lufe or maybe name such according to local nature, and maybe mark them by wooden poles ( made by some liking outdoors, nature, paying attention to small things like animals' ideas of the place, what could it be, maybe leaving room also for animals somehow leading the quest) with tge name carved on a plate, and see if such charm together with animals would make something grow there - coukd one then know what would suit there?
Or just name those so in fascinating ways on your map, mark them so too by writing the names on maps, without those needing to be of equal size. The names ought to have some wisdom like the nature's charm there.
